The three weeks commemorating the Siege of Jerusalem and the Destruction of the Temples begins at the end of Shabbat, Saturday July 16, with the
Fast of the 17th of Tammuz observed on Sunday July 17.
The three weeks have special ritual restrictions, and are concluded with the
Fast of Tisha B’Av
observed after Shabbat August 13, through to evening, Sunday August 14.

The Jewish Calendar is a cycle that continues to repeat. As we travel through time, and enjoy our summer, we are aware that the THREE WEEKS and Tisha B’Av are not far away. We invite people to study and learn about the causes of the Destruction of the Holy Temples. These life lessons apply to many things, outside of Jerusalem ritual.
We at Congregation Bnai Torah Olympia stand behind Israel 100% during times of war and times of peace.
We pray that all people will learn the message of the Prophet, that we beat our swords into plowshares, our spears into pruning hooks, that we not experience war any more.
Congregation B’nai Torah is an egalitarian, traditional Conservative synagogue serving greater southwest Washington
We are a very small congregation; we are a M’qom Torah, a place of Torah. Please check our Upcoming Events, Schedule of Services and Calendar pages frequently for all the exciting learning opportunities and programming available through CBT and the broader Olympia Jewish Community.
Services are mostly lay led.
We offer a full range of services, life cycle events and educational opportunities for children and adults.
We welcome student and military attendance at our services and all events.
As is the Jewish tradition, following all services there will be Kiddush and food.
