The Greater Olympia Chevra Kadisha is planning a series of workshops for the community. The series will begin with a workshop on October 26,2003 on Jewish rituals in death and mourning presented by TBH Rabbi Seth Goldstein. This is open to anyone interested in learning more about the topic.
Within the next few months, we hope to present additional workshops including guidance on establishing and maintaining a Chevra Kadisha by a national expert and a session on the liturgy associated with Jewish rituals related to death. We are also planning a training session at a local funeral facility for those wanting to become more familiar with traditional practices.
